Donald is not the only Trump with projects in the Middle East. Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife, has teamed up with Mega Developer DAMAC Properties of Dubai to create what will be one of the most prestigious and luxurious addresses in Beirut, La Residence by Ivana Trump! Located in Beirut City Center, the $150Million project is a very unique and spectacular 27-storey tower co-designed by Ivana Trump. The architecture of the tower stands out due to the sleek "Chiseled Wavy" lines of the building.

This is all wonderful, but maybe Ivana - like Donald - should have gone to Dubai! Remember that Lebanon is not the most stable of environments...to say the least. The gun battles that broke out last May in Beirut illustrate just how explosive the country still is and, in fact, DAMAC has put this project on hold until they feel things have really cooled down in Beirut. I don't blame them. You should understand that investments in Lebanon Mega Projects should only be a small (or zero) portion of your overall portfolio. Just look at DAMAC-- only a very small part of their overall portfolio is in Lebanon developments. And of course if you are looking to make only one or two purchases in the Middle East then you should focus only on the much more stable UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.
