Bahrain, along with the rest of The Gulf, continues to rapidly expand! One of the major business/industrial Mega Projects in Bahrain is the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP). Located in the Hidd Industrial Area, BIIP covers over 250 hectares with 25.5km of readily equipped infrastructure such as roads, street lighting, sewage systems, landscaping and desalination systems. According to BIIP, some of the highlights of this project include:

BIIP will be divided into 6 different zones, each zone targeting a different sector:

Zone 2: High Tech manufacturing and assembly,
Zone 3: Large, medium and light manufacture,
Zone 4: Small and medium enterprises(SMEs),

KFH-Bahrain Industrial Oasis will also include a six-storey office tower, which will provide 10,000 sqm of space for export-focused knowledge-based business. Other projects will also be developed at the Industrial Oasis.
The General Manager of KFH-Bahrain, Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, had this to say at the announcement of KFH-Bahrain Industrial Oasis:
"We are pleased to announce this milestone which will contribute to the economic development and growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain. With enormous competitive advantages, Bahrain - and the Hidd area in particular - offer an ideal location for both regional and international industrial companies engaged in highly productive and economically beneficial activities."
Another large project located in BIIP is the huge $40Million Kraft Foods manufacturing plant. This plant will be one of the largest foreign food and beverage plants in the Middle East, and it will produce 60,000 tons of Kraft cheese and powdered beverages annually for the Middle East and Africa regions.
Many more companies from all over the world have signed on to open up facilities at BIIP, and more are being attracted to this landmark Bahrain Mega Project each day!
